Rainy Day Outfits
Just because it’s rainy outside doesn’t mean that your outfit can’t be on point! I’m sharing 6 chic rainy day outfits that are elevated and put-together while still being totally wearable.
These looks feature boots that are either weatherproof (water-resistant) or totally waterproof to keep your feet nice and dry. Because I don’t typically spend hours and hours outside when it’s raining, most of the featured outerwear is not hardcore rain gear — I would just grab an umbrella to bring with me to keep me dry while I’m running around town!
From classic trench coats to waterproof staples, I’m so excited to share these rainy day outfit ideas to help you create spring outfits that feel polished, practical, and entirely you.

Rainy Day Outfit Ideas
T-Shirt | Jeans | Trench | Boots | Bag | Earrings
The post might as well be a trench coat edit too… I absolutely love a trench coat, and this faux leather one is so gorgeous! Plus these boots are perfect for a rainy day in a city where you want to look put-together, but you also need to be wearing something practical. These leather boots are weatherproof (or water-resistant), plus they have lug soles that provide traction to help keep you from slipping around on a damp day.
T-Shirt | Pants | Trench | Boots | Bag | Earrings
This is truly such a perfect, classic trench coat. It’s the perfect beige color, and the belt beautifully cinches your waist. Styled simply with chic but practical boots, gorgeous satin trousers, and elevated minimalist accessories!
Sweater | Jeans | Jacket | Boots | Bag | Earrings | Watch | Umbrella
I’m not totally sure why, but a houndstooth pattern always screams cozy, rainy day to me. This jacket is lightweight but provides an extra layer to keep you warm on a damp day, and this umbrella is so tiny and compact, perfect for throwing in your purse to carry with you in case it starts to rain while you’re out and about!
Sweater | Leggings | Trench | Boots | Bag | Earrings | Watch
I never thought rain boots could be gorgeous… until I found these! The design and green shade are absolutely beautiful, plus these boots are completely waterproof as well. I love wearing rain boots with leggings and an oversized sweater, and this deep olive trench coat seamlessly completes the look.
Cardigan | Jeans | Raincoat | Boots | Bag | Earrings
Okay, now this is your “no kidding it’s absolutely pouring outside” rainy day look. Investing in a raincoat that you love is essential, and this one is so classic and neutral. Plus, a cotton knit like this cardigan gives you that extra boost of coziness without making you totally overheat.
Sweater | Jeans | Trench | Boots | Bag | Earrings | Watch
The funnel neck design of this coat makes an otherwise classic trench feel fresh and subtly unique. Plus, I am obsessed with these basic sweaters from Zara — they are so simple but the fabric is lovely and the gold button details on the wrists make them feel totally elevated.
